Network Core Mechanisms of Exponence

Jaeggli, Osvaldo and Safir, Ken (1989)

Classical paper on the pro-drop parameter. Jaeggli & Safir assume that pro-drop is possible in languages which have morphologically uniform inflectional paradigms. An inflectional paradigm is uniform in the relevant sense iff it “has either only underived inflectional forms or only derived inflectional forms” (Jaeggli & Safir 29-30)
