Classical Distributed-Morphology analysis of neutralization in Romance clitic clusters based on impoverishment (Halle & Marantz 1993, Halle 1997) interpreted as delinking of autosegmentally organized trees of morphosyntactic features (see Grimshaw 1997 for an optimality-theoretic adaptation).
